The potatoes that I show you today are one of the connections I still have with mu childhood. My grandparents from Firiza made potatoes this way for us, especially during the winter, when fire was always burning on the old stove from the older house they lived in. Grandfather or grandmother would cut the potatoes into thin slices and then they would put them on the hot stove. Nothing anyone could have given us then couldn’t have been better than those potatoes. I sprinkled hot pepper flakes and a bit of pepper over mine. And some coarse salt.
I don’t have a stove, but I do have a grill. Therefore, I put them on the grill. In two minutes they’re done on one side.
This time, I combined them with garden tomatoes, rosemary and olive oil.
Maybe they would have deserved some meat, as garnish :)
They didn’t, but they were accompanied by some bruschetta with a lot of garlic. That’s everything I wanted to tell you today. Stay healthy.
